Peers: How would you describe your job to a bunch of five-year-old kids?
Razi: I am a Senior Frontend Developer at Peers. To explain to kids, I will go with “What I do is, help companies in putting together a website or web applications, the ones you see when you browse the internet. I help building something like YouTube and make it look pretty.”
Peers: Why are you excited about your job?
Razi: The wonderful parts about my job are reachability and accessibility of the products I help building. Anyone who has a device with an internet browser can use the product. And considering the people with various physical challenges, be it temporary or permanent, while building the product, is the accessibility part. Optimizing the web application for various devices and browsers so that it works flawlessly is also an
exciting part of the job.
Peers: What is the best piece of professional advice you have ever received?
Razi: “Choose and prioritize the problems which are more critical to the business” is the best piece of professional advice I have received so far.
Peers: If you could meet any living person for dinner, who would you pick and why?
Razi: I would like to have dinner with Dave Chappelle. He is one of the most well-read celebrities. Dave has his own take on everything. So, the conversation would be meaningful yet entertaining.
Peers: If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would you pick?
Razi: I am intrigued about psychological aspects, so I would choose human psychology.
Peers: What is your go-to productivity trick?
Razi: I always plan for the day. I prioritize the list of tasks with help of Eisenhower Matrix. And I break down the task at hand into atomic actionable items.
Peers: What is one thing your colleagues do not know about you? Do you have any secret talents?
Razi: I have been playing football since I was a kid, I am good at it.
