Interview with Kai Schrempf, Sales & Business Development Intern
Peers: What makes you excited about your job?
Kai: I’m excited to work and interact with other team members in such a dynamic and young team, especially in a startup. Other than that, I think I will learn more at a startup than at a big company. So far, this turned out to be true: It’s only my 4th week at Peers and I have learned a lot already – but there is still so much more. As a salesman, I’m also excited about the sales process and telling people to buy our product. That’s why I’m really looking forward to getting into the whole sales cycle and do things like creating my personal way of pitching our product.
Peers: If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would you choose and why?
Kai: Astrophysics, I would say. I’m really fascinated by the universe. I love watching videos and documentaries about space. At school, astronomy was my favorite subject.
Peers: If you could have dinner with a celebrity, who would you choose?
Kai: I would love to meet one of my favorite music artists: Tyler, The Creator – he is a rapper. I just love Tyler’s energy and his sense of humor. It would be great to have a chance to go to eat some burgers with him and talk about rap.
Peers: Do you have any productivity tips, especially when working from home?
Kai: I like to put on my headphones, turn on some music, and just sing along or even dance a little to clear my head. After that, I feel like I just had a coffee and I can sit down and focus on working again.
Peers: What is your superpower?
Kai: Memorizing song lyrics, I would say. I tend to sing along a lot which helps me memorize lyrics really quickly. Another superpower I have is being good at making friends. Sometimes, I realize during a conversation that other people are struggling to find a topic to talk about. I just try to break the ice as quickly as possible, try to get them to open up a bit – in the end, we always find some common ground.
